Master Yack, our resident self-appointed guardian angel for the preservation and enjoyment of brandy/cognac shares his experience and rating of Bisquit VSOP. Be sure to let us know your experiences too.
This VSOP Fine Champagne from Bisquit is a middle-old Cognac, distilled in the Fins Bois area, close to the town of Rouilliac. The Cognac was aged in oak casks.
The Makers say:
Subtle interplay of aromas ranging from a core of ripe fruits (dry apricot, honey) and sweet spices (cinnamon, clove) underlined with floral nuances (rose), Bisquit VSOP is smooth and mellow on the palate, with an long lasting finish.
Master Yack says:
NOTES: Cinnamon juxtaposed against honey and dried apricots, with candied fruits.
PALATE: I feel like a kid in theme park dumbfounded by this rollercoaster of great flavour, candy floss(candy) comes through with subtle notes of honey, summer fruits and ripe peaches are coming out at me but disappear again.
FINISH: Long lingering smooth sweetness
Best enjoyed neat (in other words do not blerrie mix)
